The famed Ducky 500 took place again on Canada Day this year on the Courtenay River finishing at the 5th Street Bridge at about 2:45 in the afternoon. Thanks to the many supporters of the Community who bought their Ducks for this year's Race making approximately $23,000 available for Rotary's various community projects here in the

Comox Valley.

This year's winners are:

John Burneski of Courtenay: a 10 Day Caribbean Cruise for two,

George Surgenor of Courtenay: a Seven Day Disneyland holiday for four

Willie-Jean Johnson of Delta, BC: a three or four night Las Vegas Vacation for two.

Debbie McCooey of Courtenay: 4th,

Maureen Holmes of Courtenay: 5th,

Angela Smailes of Cumberland: 6th,

Gord McIlroy of Comox: 7th,

Shauna Westman of Edmonton, Alberta: 8th,
