Just a quick note to thank all of you who took the time to write me while I was here. Ties with "home" when you are away, especially for an extended time, as so important and I appreciated the news.

Buried a good Rotarian friend yesterday. Big shock - went into the hospital with a heart infection and just slipped away. Young man.

I e-mailed my son, Mike, yesterday, about my arrival in Comox on Thursday but will repeat it here incase he did not receive it. There is some confusion with which airline I am on from Vancouver toComox as they re-booked me and one booking says Air Canada and the other Pacific Coastal.

I arrive in Vancouver at 3pm on Thursday(your time). If I am on Pacific Coastal from the south terminal I arrive at 6:05pm. If I am on Air Canada ( are they now flying into Comox?) then I do not know the time as my booking does not show times. I hope someone can check and see what flight I am on and I will try and phone Marty (as that is the only phone # I can remember) from Vancouver and let him know exactly.

See you then and see my family up at Dee Lake on Friday afternoon.
